This whiskey is produced in three types of casks: European sherry casks, American sherry casks and American Bourbon casks. This complex maturation gives the Macallan 12 Triple Cask Matured a soft, delicate character with hints of citrus, vanilla and oak. After 12 years of aging, it is bottled with 40% ABV.

Aroma	Complex with nuances of vanilla, melon and lemon peel
Taste	Semi-balanced with lemon, vanilla and slightly roasted oak and nutmeg
Finish	Long-lasting with melon, papaya, fresh oak wood and spicy wood notes
Alcohol	40% - 43% vol
